How To Recover Data From a Dammaged SD Card or USB Drive

Hi guys.., Today we are here with you from PC Tricks to give you a very importent and usefull trick.

Nowadays.., most of SD cards and USB drives got to dammage after a short period of Usage. If it dammages with our very important data.., most of you have a problem to recover the data from the dammaged drive. Today PC Tricks will give you a great solution for that problem..

When you connect your dammaged Drive to your PC or Laptop.., if it is recognized by you computer
and gives a letter for it. But when you try to open the drive you get a error message like this.

 Then, we have a little cmd magic.So , Let's see how can we do it...==>>

STEP 1

Open run and type " cmd " and press Enter to bring up a command promt.

STEP 2

Then type " chkdsk g:/r " and press ENTER.

NOTE : The " g: " is the letter gives your PC for you USB drive. It can be differ from one to another.

After the completion , you may see the warning that your drive is not a Windows Drive. Don't consider it as a issue Continue the process by pressing Y.

Then it will Start to go through files and folders which were in your drive. when it is almost complete that step it will ask you do you want to save lost chains in to files.. Then you need to choose YES for recovery process.

After the process Chkdsk will report the work it has done. Then go to my computer and check out your Drive.

woooow.. The magic works. It will open at this point and you are able to see your all data as following which were there before..
